Holistic Ministry Taking Place at GMF’s Bent Tree Apartments

Recently, Hope Fellowship Church, located onsite at Global Ministries Foundation’s Bent Tree apartments, hosted a Women’s Bible Outreach Dinner. Over 30 women attended! They enjoyed a Corky’s dinner sponsored by Faith Baptist Church and learned about an upcoming women’s Bible study they were all invited to be a part of.

In February Hope Fellowship and Agape shared the “Love of Christ” on Valentine’s Day by offering a job fair to the residents of Bent Tree. Vendors from Seedco, Job Corps, and Job Linc  provided job searches, resume preparation , and training opportunities for residents.

Ministry opportunities like these take place all the time on our Bent Tree property, and we couldn’t do it without Pastor James, his wife, Sandra, and volunteers like Fatima and Hawa Konate! Thank you, faithful ministry partners!

Fatima and Hawa Konate are always faithful in assisting around the Center. They assist us with projects, helping with the computers and tutoring younger students.

GMF Hosts Night Out Against Crime at Willows Apartments

Global Ministries Foundation’s Willows Apartments in New Orleans, LA,  hosted a Night Out Against Crime recently, sponsored by the New Orleans Police Department.

The mission was to bring the residents together to create a safer community and to enhance relationships among residents.

The property has 263 units and is one of GMF’s many workforce properties. With 1,000+ residents, social services like this event can make a big impact on our community.

The Night Out Against Crime also featured the Girl Scouts, Ameri Group Solutions, Youth for Jobs, and several other community groups interested in serving our residents. Vendors attended as well. Children enjoyed face painting, games, and races while adults watched community outreach presentations.

We thank Brotherhood Incorporated for supporting the event. Their mission “is to develop and implement programs and services that impact the economic, social, and health disparities that exist within under-served and at risk communities through education, enlightenment and empowerment.” We appreciate our partnership with them!
