GMF’s Forest Cove Apartments Offer a Multitude of Services to Residents

GMF’s Forest Cove residents routinely benefit from the ministry relationship with the Atlanta Dream Center.

The Dream Center works with our 3 and 4 year olds, teaching them their colors, numbers, and letters. They also read Bible stories together. In these pictures the kids were learning about the color green. The kids made ninja turtles and were taught how Jesus is the one who gives us power. The kids ate a “tree” made out of apples, grapes, and a pretzel stick. The apples and grapes were green which was our focus color. We also learned about Daniel in the Lions Den and had the kids make lion masks.

The preschool kids also work on puzzles, play PlayDoh, read, play with blocks, pretend to cook, use computers, and play with sensory bins such as rice.

Here are pictures the Dream Center’s JC Central, a ministry to 5-12 year olds. They looked at the parable of the lost sheep and how Jesus leaves the 99 to find the one missing. Two girls got saved through this lesson!

In the Adopt-a-Block the Atlanta Dream Center volunteers go door to door at Forest Cove, talking with residents, praying for them, and blessing them with food.

The Dream Center also arranges for a van to picks up residences from Forest Cove to bring them to church every Sunday. Some of our kids are pictured here getting baptized! These kids are siblings and we invited their mom to come. It is beautiful to see children choosing to die to their old self and rise to a new life in Christ!
