GMF would like to recognize this academic achievement of our Founder and CEO Dr. Richard Hamlet. We give God the glory and pray that He will use this training in Richard’s calling to continue advancing the gospel to the ends of the earth.
Last weekend Richard and Ginger Hamlet had the opportunity to minister in San Pedro, Ivory Coast, in West Africa with the Luis Palau Association. Throughout the week, several evangelists spoke around the city. They took the gospel to schools, prisons, stadiums, and conferences.
Richard and Ginger shared the gospel with over 300 business leaders and government officials at a special dinner.
Another day, several local pastors gathered with the Hamlets to pray for the military.
Richard also shared in public marketplaces in the city. Hundreds stopped to listen! They heard the gospel, enjoyed live music, and watched some amazing BMX stunts.
Ginger had the opportunity to lead a women’s conference as well. Over 350 women attended!
To conclude the week, LPA sponsored the Love Cote d’Ivoire Festival, a 4-day event where several thousand attended! The festival included live music, free food, BMX bike stunts, and messages from evangelists.
It was an amazing outreach! Please pray for all who heard the gospel and came to faith in Jesus. Also pray for the local churches as they disciple new believers and continue propagating the gospel in their community!
Our staff, chaplain, and volunteers at GMF’s Bent Tree Apartments in Memphis, TN, are always looking for ways to create an inviting and positive community. Here are three small ways residents have been loved last week.
First, Ms. Joyce Doshie made clothes and a matching blanket for a baby doll in our community center. Our excited children play with the doll all the time and feel loved by Ms. Doshie’s efforts!
Secondly, we spruced up a fence on the property. We decorated scrap boards to add scripture and a visual representation of the verse to our wall. Each time our residents pass this area, they see beauty in the art and remember the hope found in Christ!
Lastly, these siblings enjoyed some reading time in the community center last week. This simple act of a big sister sharing a book with her brother adds positive emotional and educational benefits to their lives.
Our gratitude abounds for the little things at Bent Tree that add so much value to our community!
